REFUGE SUPPORT WORKERS VACANCY
SAOIRSE HOUSING ASSOCIATION:
Saoirse Housing Association?s Mission is to address and combat the
crime of domestic violence by providing a safe, supportive and
confidential environment through our Refuge accommodation, Helpline
and Outreach & Prevention Service for women and children subjected to
this crime every day. To raise awareness for women and children
subjected to domestic violence in Ireland thus break the silence and
shame surrounding this serious crime.
JOB TITLE: Refuge Support Worker
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Assistant Manager or to the Refuge
Manager in the absence of the Assistant Manager.
LOCATION: TALLAGHT, RATHCOOLE, ANY SDVS SITE
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent/Fulltime
HOURS OF WORK: Hours vary depending on Rota to a max of **Apply on the

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Refuge Support Worker is a key member of the Refuge Team reporting
directly to the Refuge Assistant Manager, or the Refuge Manager. The
Refuge Support Worker will provide support services to clients of
Saoirse through actively supporting their Care Planning in conjunction
with their Keyworkers in a non-judgemental, compassionate way and
promoting empowerment and confidence building, through a philosophy of
?self-help and mutual aid?.
